The New Orleans Saints finished the 2022 NFL Season with a 7-10 record.
This marked the second consecutive season that they missed the playoffs, something that hadn’t happened since 2015-2016.
Heading into 2023, they are looking to get back on track, especially now that Derek Carr is their starting quarterback.
One of the players that should help them get there is Michael Thomas, who is said to be fully recovered from his injuries.
In a recent conversation on Fantasy Football Today, Field Yates gave an intriguing preview of Thomas ahead of this season.
“There is so much on the line for Michael Thomas,” Yates said.

Thomas broke the single-season record for receptions in 2019, logging 149 throughout the season.
However, in the next three years, Thomas appeared in just ten games, mainly due to his lower-body injuries.
Now that Thomas has been given a clean bill of health, it’s time for him to return to his elite form.
Yates said, “If he doesn’t ball out this year, it could be journeyman territory next year.”
At 30 years old, Thomas’ NFL days are already limited.
30 is typically a tipping point when many players’ skills regress.
Thomas had a lot in the tank when he was fully healthy, something that NFL fans haven’t seen in over two years.
Per Yates, the rest of his NFL career is mainly contingent on the 2023 season.
Will Thomas stay healthy this season, contributing to the Saints as expected while gaining chemistry with a new quarterback?
There are a lot of unanswered questions for this team, and we’re a little over a month away from the answers that will unfold.
