All eyes were set on Aaron Rodgers during his New York Jets debut, albeit it wasn’t official.
The Jets’ struggling offensive line would’ve been a major subject of discussion if they failed to move the chains, not to mention all the expectations about their new quarterback.
Rodgers had very solid numbers in the limited time he was on the field, uplifting the fans’ hopes again.
However, that wasn’t actually the biggest storyline of the game, at least not according to Craig Carton.
In the latest edition of his show, he predicted the Jets to have the best defense in the league this season, stating that their defensive line is unstoppable.
Carton admitted that it’s just the preseason and the starters didn’t get to play a lot, but he still stood by his prediction.
"The Jets defense is going to be best defense in football." 👀

Truth be told, the Jets do have everything they need to have the best defense in football.
Their personnel is elite, they have plenty of talent at every single position, and Robert Saleh definitely knows what he’s doing on that side of the field.
The defense was so good last season that they flirted with a playoff spot, even with Zach Wilson and their revolving door at the quarterback position.
Of course, all eyes will set on Rodgers and the spectacular plays he makes with Garrett Wilson, and he’ll be the biggest talking point week in and week out.
But this could be the best defensive unit he’s ever played with, and that bodes well for their championship aspirations.
