The New York Jets are 3-3 — and could be 4-2 — in spite of losing Aaron Rodgers four plays into the season.
HC Robert Saleh deserves a lot of credit for keeping his team ready and motivated week in and week out, and outside of that game vs. the Dallas Cowboys, even their losses have been quite narrow.
That’s why NFL analyst — and well-known Jets fan — Craig Carton isn’t worried about the Jets’ schedule for the remainder of the season.
Carton pointed out that, outside of the Miami Dolphins — which they have to face twice –, there’s not another team whose offense is better than the Jets’ defense right now.
"Other than the Dolphins, there's nobody else left on the Jets schedule where the Jets defense isn't better than the opponent's offense."

Of course, he knows they’re not going to win all of those games, acknowledging they have some tough challenges ahead of them, such as a game vs. the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns, but he believes they do have a chance to get a win every week because of their defense.
Carton also admitted that they need more of Zach Wilson, as there’ll be a point in which managing the game and getting field goals isn’t going to be enough to get the job done, especially in the playoffs.
The Jets have fared much better than expected sans Aaron Rodgers.
Their defense has been as good as advertised — if not better.
If they could only get Wilson to throw for at least one touchdown per game, they would become a significant threat, even if Rodgers isn’t able tocome back this season at all.
