The New York Jets have everything going for them to be the ruling force in the AFC East division next season, even with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills also looking strong.
Of course, that leaves the New England Patriots as the odd man out in a division that’s going to be extremely competitive.
Notably, Craig Carton recently reported that things could’ve been quite different, as the Patriots reportedly made an offer to the Green Bay Packers to trade for Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers, however, refused to play for the organization and chose to take his talents to New York instead.
None of this strikes as a surprise, truth be told.
The Patriots weren’t that sold on Mac Jones after last year’s debacle, and with Robert Kraft losing his patience, they knew they needed to make a splash.
Rodgers would never want to live in Tom Brady’s shadow — again — by leaving to play for the Patriots, so that was an obvious no-go from the start.
Moreover, the Jets have put together an elite roster on both sides of the field, thus giving him a much better shot at contention and winning a Super Bowl than Bill Belichick and company.
Moreover, this only proves that Jones’ job isn’t safe at the moment.
He knows it, and that’s why he vowed to earn everyone’s respect back in his third season in the league.
Otherwise, it might as well be his final year in Foxborough, even if Aaron Rodgers isn’t there to replace him.
