The New York Knicks got terrible news when they announced that Julius Randle would miss the remainder of the season.
However, ironically, it seems like they’ve played their best without him.
Mitchell Robinson and OG Anunoby are back anchoring their defense, and Josh Hart is playing the best basketball of his career.
Jalen Brunson is blossoming into a star right before our eyes, and the Knicks are a well-coached, hardnosed defensive team.
With that in mind, and judging by their remaining schedules, sports analyst — and New York Knicks fan — Craig Carton predicted that the Knicks would end up with the No. 2 seed.
Talking on The Carton Show, he talked about how the Milwaukee Bucks will continue to slip, and the Knicks will make the most of it.

On top of that, he argued that the Boston Celtics are currently the only Eastern Conference team that could take the Knicks down in a seven-game series, adding that they should be worried right now.
As of now, he might have a valid point.
The Philadephia 76ers still need to get Joel Embiid back to full strength, as he just came back from a long layoff.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled against the Knicks in the past, and the Bucks continue to free-fall.
The Orlando Magic are up-and-coming, but they might lack the experience a postseason team needs.
Then again, Tom Thibodeau has a history of wearing his players down by playing them 40+ minutes a game, and that could take a toll on their chances, especially in a seven-game series.
