Bronny James’ NBA future has been a hot topic of discussion for years now.
Scouts raved about him last offseason, and he was a quick riser in several mocks, with some having him as high as No. 10 overall.
Then, his cardiac arrest and his struggles at USC made him fall drastically.
That’s why some believe he could benefit from another year in college, as opposed to declaring for the NBA Draft right away.
Nonetheless, with USC coach Andy Enfield set to leave for SMU, NBA Draft expert Krysten Peek just doesn’t see that happening right now, especially with the Los Angeles Lakers owning a late second-round pick.
USC is about to implode and people really think Bronny is going to stick around to develop another year when the Lakers have a late second round pick? 🤔 https://t.co/ToJtbHbeMF

Bronny’s draft stock has taken a big hit over the past three months or so.
Some believe he could even go undrafted.
Needless to say, that’s great news for the Lakers, as they wouldn’t have to trade up or engage in a bidding war for his services.
LeBron James has been vocal and open about his desire to team up with his firstborn, so taking him in the second round would ensure they get to keep him and sign him to a contract extension.
Also, the Lakers’ development staff has been quite solid, so perhaps he could benefit from being there on a two-way contract to play for their G-League affiliate, taking the court with his father every now and then.
Of course, multiple teams could also look to get him in an attempt to lure LeBron away from Southern California, so this will be a situation to keep an eye on.
