About a week-and-a-half ago, both the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills made blockbuster trades for star wide receivers.
The Jets traded for Davante Adams and the Bills traded for Amari Cooper.
Both teams are in opposite positions right now as the Jets sit at 2-5 and the Bills sit atop the AFC East at 5-2.
Former NFL executive Andrew Brandt believes the Bills trading for Cooper was better than what the Jets did.
“The Amari Cooper trade for the Bills was heads and tails better than the Adams trade for the Jets,” Brandt said Friday on the Ross Tucker Podcast.
“The Amari Cooper trade for the Bills was heads and tails better than the Adams trade for the Jets.”

Brandt mentioned also how the Bills are paying Cooper way less money than the Jets are paying Adams.
The Cleveland Browns are still paying Cooper, but the Jets agreed to take on the remaining part of Adams’ contract from the Raiders.
Through one game on their new teams, it feels like Cooper’s situation is much better at the moment.
The Bills beat the Tennessee Titans with Cooper reeling in four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Adams caught just three passes in the Jets’ blowout loss on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.
Now, the NFL season isn’t even half over yet.
There is plenty of time for the switch to be flipped, especially in the case of Adams and the Jets.
Cooper and Buffalo will face the Seattle Seahawks on the road this week, and Adams and the Jets will travel to face the New England Patriots in Foxborough.
