The Cincinnati Bengals just got their most important player back on the field.
Following a calf injury suffered early in training camp, Joe Burrow is finally out there and ready to go for Week 1.
According to a report by Cameron Wolfe, Burrow’s return surprised even some of his own teammates, but he didn’t show any signs of rust whatsoever.
However, Wolfe does admit that the team has played it safely with him, so they don’t exactly know where he is right now, mobility-wise.

Moreover, Burrow’s mobility will be put to the test early in the campaign as the Bengals kick off the season with a divisional clash with the Cleveland Browns and their new-look defense.
New Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz revealed that he plans to blitz early and often, and their new pass-rush unit could be one of the most dominant in the league.
Having Za’Darius Smith and Myles Garrett come at you on almost every snap is the perfect way to test just how mobile you are, but that may not exactly be what the doctor ordered to start a season after suffering an injury.
Soft-tissue injuries tend to linger, which is why the Bengals need to be extremely cautious with their franchise quarterback going forward, as they cannot afford to have him missing games later in the season.
The Browns have fared quite well vs. Burrow in his career (1-4 record), and this revamped defense will look to keep him on his toes as soon as they hit the field.
