It is very true that the Golden State Warriors have had a difficult and disappointing season in many ways.
Just a few years after their last Finals win, they are currently the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-31 record.
But despite just how rough things have been in 2023-24, NBA analyst Jason Timpf still thinks fans have a few things to be excited about.
Speaking on “Hoops Tonight,” Timpf noted the great work of Jonathan Kuminga, the amazing skills of an aging Steph Curry, and the explosive output of Trayce Jackson-Davis and Moses Moody as reasons why fans shouldn’t give up hope yet.
“They’ve got a lot of encouraging stuff,” Timpf said.
Timpf said that the key for the Warriors now is to find a perfect window where Curry is able to do his best alongside the newcomers that have joined the team.
If Curry and the rookies are able to line up their skills at the perfect time, they can do amazing things for the Warriors.
Will the postseason be the time that they do that?
Actually, will they even reach the postseason?
Curry has indeed been wonderful again this season, even at 36 years old, and there are a few young up-and-comers on the team like Kuminga, Jackson-Davis, and others, who are really giving fans something to believe in.
Now, head coach Steve Kerr just needs to find a way to bring all of those elements together and help Curry play to the best of his abilities while the young players do the same.
The Warriors are in a hole they need to dig themselves out of if they wish to claim victory in the Play-In Tournament and beyond.
Timpf said that all the pieces are there, they just need to come together.
