The Cincinnati Bengals headed into the 2023 NFL season with high hopes of being the legitimate Super Bowl title contender that everyone pegged them to be with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow under center and one of the most talented receiving corps in the game led by wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
Unfortunately, the season hasn’t gone as planned so far, with the Bengals losing the first two games of the season to the division-rival Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
Following the slow start to the 2023 campaign, Chase vented about his frustrations with the offense, which isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders at the moment, with Burrow on the mend again and the team seemingly out of sync.
Chase believes the Bengals should take more chances downfield, with Craig Carton chiming in on why the star wide receiver is speaking out right now, via “The Carton Show.”
"Ja'Marr Chase is a young guy, he knows he's gonna get paid, he wants all the accolades, and he's not getting the ball."

At this point in the season, the Bengals might be the most disappointing team in the league in terms of not being able to live up to expectations after the first two games.
A lot of the team’s success will depend on Burrow and whether he’s able to bounce back from this calf strain that might linger throughout the entire 2023 campaign.
If the Bengals continue to struggle, especially on offense, it’ll be interesting to see if Chase’s voice gets louder and the frustration starts to mount in Cincinnati.
Obviously, it doesn’t help that the team plays in one of the toughest divisions in football, but the hype comes with the territory; the Bengals have to find a way to get back on track.
