The Miami Dolphins are going through their best season in ages.
Even though they’ve struggled to beat good and contending teams, Mike McDaniel’s arrival was a breath of fresh air for this ever-struggling franchise, and he’s turned them into one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the league.
A lot of that has had to do with Tua Tagovailoa’s development.
Tua was an MVP candidate earlier in the season, but his odds took a slight bump after losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany.
With that in mind, former NFL star Willie Colon stated that Tua shouldn’t be in the MVP conversation right now because several QBs are having a better year than him (via The Carton Show).
"There's a lot of quarterbacks who are having a better year than Tua. Is he the MVP for that team? 100%. But I still think he has a lot of work to do."

However, he did acknowledge that Tua is the MVP for the Miami Dolphins and that he’s gotten a lot better, although he still has a ways to go.
Truth be told, the fact that Tua has even entered the MVP conversation speaks volumes of his hard work and improvement over the years, as plenty of fans and analysts didn’t hesitate to count him out after watching him struggle early in his career.
Tua has become one of the most accurate passers in the league, and all the talk about him being a check-down specialist is no longer the case; he’s ripping the football down the field.
The Dolphins are likely to win their division, and they still have some big games ahead of them, so perhaps Tua can re-enter the podium as a top-3 MVP candidate before the end of the season.
