The San Francisco 49ers finished the 2022 NFL season with a loss in the NFC Championship game to the Philadelphia Eagles.
After being doubted throughout the year and going through three different starting quarterbacks, the 49ers were able to make a deep postseason run.
While there have been some analysts that predicted a low ceiling for the 49ers this year, Emmanuel Acho indicated the opposite.
In a recent segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, Acho said, “I’m more confident in the Niners this year than I was in the Niners last year.”

He quickly backed this claim up by saying “Every player on the Niners is entering their prime.”
Many believe the 49ers have one of the best rosters in the NFL.
They have several dynamic players on both sides of the ball and have many Defensive Player of the Year candidates.
In this segment, Acho listed over six different players, calling them at least top-five at their position across the league.
He also said that the 49ers are “better at quarterback than they were at this time last year.”
Brock Purdy was thrust into the starting role after Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance fell to injuries.
While Purdy brought the 49ers to the NFC Championship, many have expressed concern that he’s not the answer.
At the moment, he’s listed as the top quarterback on their depth chart.
Acho believes in Purdy’s abilities, while others around the league have shown hesitation.
The 49ers’ 2023 season will be telling about the organization’s future, especially the direction they decide to go at quarterback.
