The New England Patriots are seemingly under significant pressure to perform in 2023.
They have missed the playoffs in two of the last three seasons, something that’s rare for this organization.
Even Bill Belichick is reportedly on the hot seat, as many believe his success was largely contingent on Tom Brady.
While the NFL world waits to see how the Patriots will pan out, Kyle Brandt tasked Mac Jones with a challenge.
“Win a playoff game,” Brandt said on Good Morning Football.

In his three seasons as the Patriots’ starter, the Patriots have only appeared in one playoff game.
They ended up losing in this lone appearance, with Jones putting up 232 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Many believe he’s not the future of this organization, a team that had been blessed with nearly 20 years of elite QB play.
As Brandt highlights, winning at least one playoff game is a true test of Jones’ future with the team.
If he’s able to pull through, the organization can feel confident that he’s able to perform under pressure.
However, if the Patriots either don’t make the playoffs this season or lose once they get to the postseason, further questions will be asked.
The Patriots did use first-round draft capital on Jones, indicating that, at the time, they believed in him.
We’ll soon see what his regular season looks like, and if the Patriots can break through for the first time under Jones’ leadership.
The AFC East will be a tough test this year.
