This past Thursday, quarterback Dak Prescott helped lead the Dallas Cowboys to their sixth win in the team’s last seven games by defeating the Seattle Seahawks by a final score of 41-35.
In the contest, Prescott completed 70.7 percent of his passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns, making it his sixth straight game with multiple touchdown passes.
During the Cowboys’ last six matchups, the veteran quarterback has averaged 317 passing yards per game while throwing for 20 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
Given how excellent his level of play has been, it’s no surprise that Prescott is now right in the thick of the conversation about who deserves to win this season’s NFL MVP award.
On Sunday, CBS Sports Adam Schein added himself to the list of people who currently believe that the Dallas quarterback is deserving of the league’s MVP award (via NFL on CBS on Twitter).
"To me, Dak Prescott is the MVP. … Dak Prescott is having the best season of his career!"

After Thursday’s game, Prescott currently ranks third in the NFL in passing yards, first in passing touchdowns, second in completion percentage, second in passer rating, and first in QBR.
For those who aren’t ready to give the MVP trophy to the Cowboys quarterback right now, the argument can be made that some of his best performances have come against some of the worst teams in the league this season like the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders.
At the same time, why should Prescott be faulted for playing well against weak competition when some of the other MVP candidates this year have also benefited from facing bad opponents?
Prescott will have a chance to add to his MVP case next Sunday night when Dallas takes on the Philadelphia Eagles.
