The Denver Nuggets have found perhaps the most unique offensive player of all time.
Never has an NBA player of Nikola Jokic’s size been able to do the things he does in terms of passing and pulling the strings of an offense.
That’s why ESPN’s Alan Hahn believes he should no longer be compared to the likes of Magic Johnson, Bob Cousy, or John Stockton.
As great as all those players were as playmakers and passers, Hahn believes the most accurate comparison for Jokic is actually Patrick Mahomes.

Hahn showed the parallels between the two, citing that his passes are always on point and he makes the game way easy for those who are around him.
Moreover, he cites that, just like Mahomes, Jokic plays at his own speed and it makes everybody feel like he’s playing slower than everybody else when he’s not.
That’s an interesting comparison, to say the least, but it may not be that far-fetched.
While Jokic obviously isn’t anywhere near Mahomes in terms of speed or athleticism, he’s most definitely up there when it comes to being a spectacular passer.
They’re both must-watch television and it always seems like they’re one play away from a highlight reel.
They both seem to have eyes on the back of their heads and can make spectacular no-look passes, and it feels like there’s no pass or throw they can’t make.
Who knows, maybe Sean Payton will like to give Jokic a call next season if Russell Wilson starts underperforming again.
