Of course the Kansas City Chiefs are even better entering the 2024 season.
One of the reasons why that is the case is because they got even more speed through the draft.
They drafted Texas speedster Xavier Worthy in the first round of the draft this year.
Worthy set the NFL Scouting Combine record in the 40-yard-dash by running a 4.21.
Insider Jordan Schultz recently appeared on FS1’s “Speak” to talk about who Worthy reminds him of.
“He’s DeSean Jackson. He’s not just fast. You can line him up anywhere,” Schultz stated.
Xavier Worthy was the quintessential #Chiefs pick. Don’t get it twisted: He’s far MORE than just a speed threat.

Any young receiver getting compared to Jackson is a pretty lofty comparison.
Jackson was one of the best deep threats in NFL history.
The 15-year NFL receiver and punt returner holds the NFL record for most touchdown catches of at least 60 yards and is currently tied for the record for most 80-yard touchdowns catches too (5).
Worthy certainly has proven how real of a deep threat he really is.
While at Texas, he averaged 14.0 yards per catch over his three years in Austin.
He is coming off of a career year where he recorded 1,014 receiving yards on 75 receptions.
In total, he notched over 2,800 scrimmage yards and 26 touchdowns in three years as a Longhorn.
In Kansas City, he will join the likes of Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, Isaiah Pacheco, Marquise Brown, and Skyy Moore.
With Patrick Mahomes throwing passes and Andy Reid calling plays, Worthy is going to make magic happen on the field for Kansas City and be trouble for every opposing team.
