Damian Lillard is one of the best players in the NBA right now.
He has arguably been a top-three point guard in the league for the majority of his career.
However, Dame is yet to win an NBA championship in his career, which led to him finally demanding a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers this summer.
Lillard wants to be traded to the Miami Heat, but the Trail Blazers have yet to fulfill their cornerstone player’s trade request.
Jason Timpf of The Volume Sports called out the Trail Blazers for retaining Lillard despite his trade request, via Twitter.

Lillard has been loyal to the Trail Blazers for 11 seasons.
But after all this time when Lillard requested a trade, the franchise hasn’t really made an effort to get his request fulfilled.
Timpf believes it was the wrong way to handle the situation.
He thinks the Trail Blazers should have already traded him to the Heat, as Dame deserves as much.
Lillard averaged 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game in the 2022-23 NBA season.
He remains an excellent player despite being 33 years old.
It’s obvious that the asking price for him is through the roof right now.
He can become the deciding piece for any team looking forward to winning the NBA title in the 2023-24 season.
But will Lillard get his request fulfilled?
Or will he have to play another season for the Trail Blazers?
