When the Atlanta Falcons took Bijan Robinson out of Texas with the No. 8 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, no one batted an eye.
That’s just how good he is, as even during a time when running backs seem expendable and teams don’t want to use first-day draft picks on them, he still cracked the top ten.
Reports from training camp have stated that Robinson is already living up to the hype, and he should be poised for a massive workload right out of the gate, or so we thought.
However, the Falcons recently listed him as the third-string running back on their official website, putting him just ahead of Carlos Washington and behind Tyler Allgeier and Cordarelle Patterson.
That’s why Greg Jennings and Craig Carton put the team on blast and wondered what’s going on there, as there’s simply no reason to list him as their RB3 after taking him with the No. 8 pick, per “The Carton Show” on Twitter.
The Atlanta Falcons just listed their promising 1st round draft pick RB as a 3rd stringer? 🧐

Moreover, as good as Patterson has been for them, Robinson is the most unique offensive player on their roster, and he’s ready to wreak havoc as both a wide receiver and a running back, which is why they want to see him on the field as early and often as he possibly can.
The Falcons aren’t expected to be very good, and Robinson might be their only hope of moving the chains with Desmond Ridder as their QB.
