The Indianapolis Colts have put Jonathan Taylor in an uncomfortable position.
The star running back has struggled to get a new deal with the organization, up to the point where he even demanded a trade.
Team owner Jim Irsay made it clear that he has no intention whatsoever to trade Taylor, a decision that could lead to a holdout.
That’s why Craig Carton and panelists on “The Carton Show” criticized him and made fun of him for looking to spend $20 million to free an orca instead of using some of that money to pay Taylor.

Carton and the guys claimed that perhaps Taylor should dress up as an orca to see if Irsay would be more willing to spend big bucks on him.
Truth be told, one thing shouldn’t have anything to do with the other, and while it’s ironic and borderline hilarious, Irsay has every right to spend his money on what he pleases, especially if it’s for a good cause like this.
Even so, it would be easy to be livid at this report if you’re Taylor, who’s set to make $4.3 million next season, which is far below his production.
Taylor reportedly wants a long-term deal with guaranteed money after being one of the best backs in the league for the past couple of seasons, and that doesn’t seem likely now.
The market for running backs has been terrible as of late, and the Colts have shown no intention to get a deal done any time soon.
