The Los Angeles Lakers have been through a lot over the past several months.
Not only did they lose in the first round of the playoffs, but they also moved on from their head coach, starting a search to find his replacement.
UConn coach Dan Hurley was expected to take over after getting offered the job, but he turned it down to stay at the collegiate level.
The Lakers have now pivoted their search toward other potential candidates, which has turned into a massive public debate.
Some fans and analysts want J.J. Redick to take over, while others believe the Lakers should look into other candidates.
Analyst Darth Amin recently gave his two cents in an appearance on “The Jax Show,” which was shared by Sirius XM NBA Radio on Twitter.
“I think J.J. might be the only answer at this point,” Amin said.

Despite some fans calling for different options, Amin believes Redick could be the team’s best possible solution as head coach.
Redick already has built-in camaraderie with LeBron James, as the two run a podcast together and have become friends over the years.
Having a good relationship with James could be an essential part of the Lakers’ decision to hire a new head coach.
After all, James is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and he came to Los Angeles to win more rings, bringing more success to an already-prestigious franchise.
It will be interesting to see how the Lakers move forward, and if Redick will be their final decision.
