Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors recently declined his player option with the team and is looking to test the waters of free agency.
However, many people assume that he will take a new offer from his current team and remain in the Bay Area.
But not everyone thinks that’s the right choice for the Warriors.
Analyst James Jones pointed to the off-court drama and controversies that Green has created and said they disqualify him from getting another massive deal from Golden State.
“All the baggage that comes with Draymond Green ain’t matching up with his productivity on the court,” Jones said on Friday’s The Carton Show.

Although there are a few to choose from, Jones might be referencing the mess that Green caused last summer when a video of him punching Jordan Poole during a practice game went viral.
That situation led many people to think that Green would not be re-signed by the Warriors this summer.
Instead, it was Poole who was chopped from the team recently while Green’s chances of remaining are still alive and well.
Although Green’s output on the court has indeed diminished, he did just have one of his best seasons.
He averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game, his highest numbers in years.
More than his points and rebounds, Green is a crucial part of the team’s chemistry and culture.
Even head coach Steve Kerr and team leader Stephen Curry have said they wouldn’t have won their championships without Green.
Yes, he creates headaches for the Warriors at times but there is no doubt he also has great value for the team.
