The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets will face off against each other in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
After months of tough competition, wild surprises, triumphs, and disappointments, the NBA championship begins with the two best teams.
Although the Heat have stormed through the Eastern Conference with vigor, many people are predicting they don’t have what it takes to stop the Nuggets in the Finals.
Victor Cruz believes the Nuggets will have Miami’s number in the championship.
“As much as I love Miami…I just think they’re outmanned in this one,” Cruz said on Thursday’s “The Carton Show.”

Cruz isn’t the only one who thinks Denver will be able to take down Miami.
In fact, nearly all betting sites are giving the advantage to Denver.
Cruz makes the point that Denver’s roster is just bigger, deeper, and stronger.
He doesn’t see how Miami will be able to get past that, especially if Nikola Jokic isn’t just facilitating plays but also scoring points too.
However, whenever someone brings up their prediction of Denver beating Miami, it is important to remind them that just about everyone counted the Heat out only weeks ago.
Most didn’t think they’d even make the play-in games.
But they overcame the odds – not only in the first round but in the second and third too.
Now they have reached the Finals and have shown that they can outdo expectations no matter how ubiquitous they are.
On paper, it would seem that the Nuggets have more tools to slow the Heat down.
But the Heat could again surprise Cruz and everyone else who thinks their days are numbered.
