The Cleveland Cavaliers look like a team that could be on the verge of doing something special.
But they need to take some risks and chances to do so, or they’ll be stuck in that mid-level tier for the foreseeable future.
That’s why Aaron Goldhammer of ESPN Cleveland believes it’s time they become more aggressive in the offseason, citing that they need to do more than just sign a Kelly Oubre Jr. type of player and a backup center.

He’s got a valid point, although it’s not like the front office hasn’t done anything lately, as they were quite aggressive in stealing Donovan Mitchell away from the Miami Heat and New York Knicks just last offseason.
The team has proven to have untapped potential, and they just need another piece to round up their starting lineup, as well as some depth.
The Cavs need to be cautious about every move they make and think about how those players would fit alongside Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Mitchell.
It’s not too often that you have three potential franchise players that haven’t reached their prime but already have some playoff experience, and that can be quite volatile as well.
This free-agent class doesn’t feature that many stars that could be worth going all-in for, especially if that means jeopardizing the future of their current project.
But we should still keep an eye on this team, as they’re not that far off from legit NBA championship contention with the roster they currently have.
