The Golden State Warriors made a pretty substantial change recently, getting rid of Jordan Poole in exchange for Chris Paul.
Although Paul is much older than Poole and prone to injuries, some people still believe he is going to help the team much more than Poole ever did.
Speaking on The Volume, analyst Jason Timpf summed up why he thinks Paul is better than Poole:
“Chris Paul is a massive upgrade over Jordan Poole. Chris Paul, as long as he can stay healthy, is going to be a more dependable option there and he’s going to give the Warriors a better chance of maintaining leads with Steph off the floor.”

Timpf makes a few very strong points.
Firstly, Paul is a 12-time All-Star who has led multiple teams and has been the centerpiece of offensive plans for years now.
He will likely do much better than Poole ever did when it comes to filling any voids left by Curry.
Poole always felt like a right-hand man to Curry and not someone who could naturally lead the team by himself.
Paul, on the other hand, has been a team leader for years.
Timpf also pointed out that he can work wonders when it comes to the pick-and-roll, something that the Warriors had trouble with last season.
This can greatly improve their chances in the playoffs, especially against big men like Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In multiple ways, Paul could take the Warriors’ power to the next level and may improve many of the problem areas that plagued them last season.
Of course, what happens if the inclusion of Paul doesn’t help the Warriors and they have another tough season?
What changes would they pursue then?
