The NFL season is full of ups and downs.
However, given how short it is, there’s not a lot of margin for error.
Also, this being the physical sport it is, all teams are always one snap and one injury away from disaster.
That’s why it’s so crucial to get the season started on the right foot.
Likewise, that’s also why teams rarely recover after a bad start.
Considering that, NFL analyst Ben Maller claimed that the Cincinnati Bengals are done.
Talking on FOX Sports Radio, the renowned analyst stated that as much as people still love Joe Burrow and he’s still great, the Bengals just don’t stand a chance to make the playoffs.
"At this moment in time, the Bengals are done. They're back to being the Bungles…I don't see a scenario, based on the way they're playing right now, where that is a playoff team." –@benmaller

He claimed that the team has gone back to being ‘The Bungles,’ adding that at this moment in time, he just doesn’t see any scenario in which they can come back from this.
Maller added that all teams are entitled to one bad loss per season, but the Bengals have already lost two ugly games in three weeks.
So far, only six teams have ever been able to get to the playoffs after starting 0-3, but the Bengals’ next stretch in the schedule is pretty much brutal.
Of course, they have the potential and the talent to get hot as quickly as they got blistering cold, and Zac Taylor’s team usually starts slow before picking things up.
But at this moment in time, it’s very hard to envision this team getting back to the playoffs this season.
