The Chicago Bulls landed one of the most underrated players in the league over the summer when they received Alex Caruso from the Los Angeles Lakers.

It now seems obvious that the Bulls knew just how special this young man is.

He was sidelined for several weeks because of a nasty injury but Caruso is back in Windy City and his role has grown since his return.

Billy Donovan says that sliding Alex Caruso into the starting lineup is permanent

Head coach Billy Donovan said that Caruso will now be a permanent part of the team’s starting lineup.

For anyone paying attention, this move is a no-brainer.

Caruso Crushing It

This season, Caruso is averaging 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists a game.

Those numbers are good but there’s far more to Caruso than just that.

He’s one of the most important parts of the team’s defense and is actually a master at blocking shots and shutting other players down.

He might not look like the most intimidating guy in the league but he has a natural talent at staying on his man and preventing points.

He’s also consistent, something that the Bulls need right now.

The team is suffering more injuries and are no longer positioned at the top of the Eastern Conference standings like they were for so much of the season.

They will still make the playoffs in a few weeks but they’re not as strong and menacing as they were a few months ago.

That means they will need Caruso’s skills as the postseason heats up.

Chicago fans are very happy to hear that Caruso will be a major part of the team moving forward.

With him in their rotation, the team still has a chance to make some serious noise in the playoffs.
