It’s safe to say that Albert Pujols has rediscovered his stroke at the plate.
The veteran slugger put the St. Louis Cardinals on top early on Tuesday with a solo home run off of Los Angeles Dodgers starter Mitch White.
The home run was No. 685, which now puts him 15 shy of the 700 mark.
In the stands last night to experience this moment was St. Louis native and rapper Nelly, who occasionally will make his rounds to St. Louis to cheer on his Cardinals.
When Pujols touched home, his first move was to go and give Nelly a double high-five before walking back to the dugout.
MLB insider Nick Wagoner tweeted a video of Pujols high-fiving Nelly on his way back to the dugout.

Two St. Louis Heroes Share A Moment
This is the wholesome content we need right now.
Pujols is a St. Louis legend and every time he does something special, Cardinals fans love it.
This includes Nelly, who is a St. Louis legend in his own right.
Here we have two St. Louis heroes sharing a moment.
Nelly has seen more than his fair share of exciting Pujols moments, as have most Cardinals fans.
But it’s nice to see the two of them share a nice moment together after Pujols hit his home run.
These two are adored by the city of St. Louis and it’s really cool to see them together for a moment such as this.
Nelly is just as excited as the rest of Cardinal Nation to watch The Machine chase down the 700-home run milestone.
Even better was that the Cardinals won and held off a Dodgers rally.
But the story of the game has to be the moment Pujols and Nelly shared.
