Al Horford is about to start his 19th season in the NBA, his first with the Golden State Warriors.
Horford is jazzed to be with the team and especially happy to be playing with Steph Curry.
For years, Horford has been tasked with defending Curry, but now he gets to play alongside him, and he sounds very excited about that.
“I’m excited to be on the floor with him (Steph). Not have to chase him around and try to contest him. The fact that we’re on the same side is something that’s special for me,” Horford said.

This must be quite the relief for Horford, because locking up Curry is incredibly difficult.
The best defenders in the league have tried to stop him, and most of them have failed.
Now, Horford will get to change his goals and find ways to improve Curry’s game, not limit it.
But the same will be true for Curry, who will attempt to help Horford and open up opportunities for him to score.
The Warriors have had their eyes on Horford for some time, and they think he could be a hugely important part of the team right away.
In fact, it’s expected that he will be a member of the starting five on Opening Night.
Curry and Horford have squared off against each other numerous times over the years, and now they are changing their relationship and pointing it in a new direction.
Fans are expecting big things from this combination, and they think it could be exactly what the Warriors needed.
