The Detroit Lions want to be about business this season.
They will need to make a statement right out of the gate after their heartbreaking and surprising postseason failure last season.
That’s why Aidan Hutchinson wants to send a message.
He shaved his head to prove that he’s all about business, and that’s terrible news for whoever stands in front of him.

The former Michigan star is also looking to get a big-time contract extension, but that’s unlikely to happen before the season opener.
The Lions picked up his fifth-year option, which will pay him $18.872 million for the 2026 season.
Even so, he’s most likely going to get a much more lucrative deal in place before that.
Hutchinson should be quite happy with Micah Parsons’ recent contract extension, as that only means he’s going to get more money than he would’ve.
Parsons will make $47 million on average and got a $120 million fully guaranteed contract with the Packers.
And while Parsons has been slightly better than Hutchinson, that only raises the floor and ceiling in negotiations.
Hutchinson posted 7.5 sacks in just five games last season, and while keeping that up for a full year would’ve been almost impossible, he proved that he can be a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate.
A broken leg injury cost him the remainder of the season, but if he proves to be healthy early on, the Lions will have no choice but to break the bank before he gets even more expensive.
