Things aren’t getting any easier for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Three months into the year, the team still owns the worst record in the National League.
After seemingly fixing things, they are back to 11 games under the .500 mark.
The latest unfortunate event occurred on Monday against the Texas Rangers.
The team rallied late to tie the game at three, but ultimately lost in walk-off fashion.
Adam Wainwright drew the start for St. Louis, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing three runs against the vaunted Rangers attack.
After the loss, the veteran right-hander commented on the team’s struggles and how emotions are running high in the clubhouse.
Wainwright on another close loss for the #STLCards: "Everyone is frustrated. I don't know what to say. Fans are frustrated, too, I know. … We made some mistakes today that we normally don't make. That's how you lose games." pic.twitter.com/cugx4ZQafU

Wainwright first talked about his own performance and bemoaned the fact that after St. Louis scored in the second inning to take the lead, he responded by giving up three runs.
The two-time World Series champion expressed frustration with himself over the location of his pitches.
The 41-year-old was then asked about the state of the team after falling to 25-36 on the year.
Wainwright stated that everybody in the clubhouse was frustrated after yet another devastating loss, which is their ninth in their previous 13 games after they had taken three of four from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The right-hander also commented on a few mistakes that the Cardinals made against the Rangers that are quite uncharacteristic of the team, saying that everybody in the clubhouse is looking forward to playing more consistent baseball as the month of June progresses.
St. Louis has now lost four in a row.
