The New England Patriots are in the midst of a rough 3-11 season.
However, that does not mean that first-year head coach Jerod Mayo is in any sort of trouble when it comes to his job.
According to ESPN senior insider Adam Schefter, ownership is not currently considering any changes in New England.
“The Kraft family also stands behind him…Ownership has stood behind him and is not planning to make any changes, but there’s always three weeks left for him,” Schefter said Thursday morning on Get Up.

To be fair to Mayo, it is his first season as an NFL head coach, and the roster itself is not exactly ready to contend for the playoffs.
At the beginning of the season, it was unfair to expect one of the youngest teams in the league, led by a rookie quarterback in Drake Maye, to push for the division or even have a winning record.
If the Pats decided to fire the man that Bill Belichick chose to be his successor last offseason after one year, it could be somewhat stunning.
But if the Patriots lose the season’s final three games and end up with a record of 3-14, New England might want to look at a couple of head coach candidates.
After all, former Patriots defender and three-time Super Bowl champion Mike Vrabel is a hot name in this current coaching cycle.
But in the end, even though it feels like the Kraft family is backing Mayo, anything can change if the season ends on a very low note.
