The New York Jets have big decisions to make in the following days, weeks, and months.
For the time being, they need to decide whether to keep Aaron Rodgers as their starter.
He hasn’t played well this season, and with the playoffs all but out of reach, it doesn’t make much sense to keep him out there.
If they believe he’s their quarterback for the future, they should protect him at all costs.
If they don’t, then there’s no point in having him play.
When asked about that, however, the future Hall of Famer claimed that they would cross that bridge when they get there (via Jets Videos).

Of course, Rodgers has always been known for having a bit of an ego and not being particularly accountable, so this isn’t much of a surprise.
Multiple reports have stated that he might choose to leave the team in the offseason.
Still, even if that weren’t the case, the Jets could also make that call unilaterally.
The team needs to find a new general manager, head coach, and – all things considered – a quarterback for the future as well.
Rodgers’ downfall has been tough to watch.
He’s one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever lace them up, and no one can take that away from him.
Whether people like him as a person or not has nothing to do with his skills as a player.
But the fact of the matter is that he’s not helping his team or himself right now.
