The New York Jets have been in the news plenty this season.
Most of it has been for the wrong reasons.
Once Aaron Rodgers went down in Week 1, the Jets’ chances at winning anything went out the door.
That is mostly because the backup quarterback spot in New York was not pretty.
Zach Wilson was the backup and stepped in for Rodgers.
He continued his struggles into this year and was eventually replaced as the starter by Tim Boyle a few weeks ago.
With Boyle now released, the Jets were thinking about going back to Wilson as starter.
But, reports have surfaced that Wilson does not want to play.
Rodgers went on The Pat McAfee Show to discuss those reports and his issues with them.
Rodgers said, “When you use sources to try and assassinate someone’s character like that report does for Zach I have a real hard time with that.”

Rodgers took a shot at the “source” that called out Wilson.
He disagreed with what was said about Wilson and knows the Jets need to clean things up in their organization.
This is not a good look for the Jets as their season continues to spiral.
It will be interesting to see who ends up starting at quarterback for them this week.
If not Wilson, then it will be Brett Rypien or Trevor Siemian.
Neither of those options is ideal.
The playoffs are out of sight and the Jets are seemingly playing this last month for pride.
The quarterback situation is a mess, but the Jets just want to finish the year on a high note.
