To say that Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the New York Jets was disappointing would be an understatement.
The team had a championship-caliber defense, at least on paper, and a plethora of talent on offense.
Unfortunately, a season-ending injury just a handful of plays into his debut may have sealed their fate.
Then, poor play and several disturbing reports made it loud and clear that the Jets needed a major shakeup.
That’s why new HC Aaron Glenn and new GM Darren Mougey chose to go in a different direction.
However, a report by the New York Post (via Harrison Glaser) shows that Rodgers actually wanted to be back and even pleaded with them to run it back for another year or two.
WOW ?
Apparently Aaron Rodgers wanted to come back to the #Jets, & was even pleading with Aaron Glenn & Darren Mougey for another year or two to help be a part of turning the organization around, per @nypostsports

That’s a bit of a surprise, as multiple reports stated that Rodgers’ relationship with team owner Woody Johnson had reached a breaking point.
Most rumors made it seem as if Rodgers was done with the Jets.
Rodgers is reportedly mulling retirement, but the fact that he showed up in person to his meeting with the Jets and pleaded to come back makes it seem like he’s looking forward to playing for a little longer.
Now, it’ll be interesting to see how his market shapes up.
