Aaron Rodgers is among the most polarizing figures in sports.
He has provided some jaw-dropping moments on the football field, which made him beloved by Green Bay Packers fans for years, but some of his off-field moments haven’t gone over so well.
This was the case in a recent incident at a golf event, where Rodgers refused to sign a fan’s jersey because he claimed he was a scalper or reseller, as Dov Kleiman noted on X.

While this person claimed to be a fan, Rodgers dismissed them, leaving them frustrated that they couldn’t get an autograph.
Nobody knows the fan’s true intentions of getting their jersey signed by Rodgers, but this story has certainly made the rounds on social media, with many criticizing Rodgers for the way he handled the situation.
Athletes get bombarded with these requests in public regularly, especially when they’re as well-known as Rodgers, so this wasn’t likely the first time he’s had to turn down an autograph.
At the time he was asked, Rodgers was focused on golf, besides getting a few photos with fans, and he’s also gearing up to begin his first season under center for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He’ll have to adapt to a new system, the third of his career, but there’s optimism that he and Mike Tomlin can work well together to create something special.
The AFC is crowded with strong teams, but if Rodgers looks anywhere close to his MVP self, this team certainly has a chance to be great.
