The New York Jets are making all the headlines these days, even when it is superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers reacting to something that was said by someone from another team.
Last week, new Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton heavily criticized the team’s former coaching staff with an emphasis on bashing former head coach Nathaniel Hackett for what the team wasn’t able to accomplish in the Mile High City.
With Rodgers being close with Hackett, who is now the offensive coordinator for the Jets under Robert Saleh, the veteran quarterback couldn’t hold back when talking about Payton’s questionable comments.
Rodgers was clearly angry about Payton’s comments the first time he addressed them but now has taken a bit more of a mellow approach when talking to Kay Adams on the Up And Adams Show, as he called out Payton for saying something stupid.
"Sometimes you say something stupid and need to apologize.”@AaronRodgers12 says he has plenty more to say about Sean Payton’s comments.

It’s safe to say that this bad blood between Rodgers and Payton will likely continue for quite some time, as it will come to a head on October 8th when the Jets and Broncos go head to head in Denver during the upcoming season.
The showdown between Rodgers and Payton has quickly become one of the most anticipated games in the first few weeks of the 2023 NFL season, as many will expect some fireworks with things said in the media and what happens on the football field.
Both teams are in a similar position in 2023, with the Jets having to live up to Super Bowl titles aspirations while the Broncos are trying to bounce back from a season in which they didn’t live up to expectations with Russell Wilson at the helm.
