The New York Jets fanbase took a collective sigh of relief when the Aaron Rodgers trade was finalized.
Now, the team has a former league MVP at the helm, someone they believe can lead them to the playoffs.
While the fanbase anxiously waits to see how Rodgers performs on the field, he could achieve a historic accolade this season, if things go according to plan.
As shared by the NFL on ESPN, Rodgers is 25 touchdown passes away from achieving 500 in his career.
Aaron Rodgers is just 25 touchdown passes away from reaching 500 for his career 😯
He'd become only the fifth QB in NFL history to throw 500 career touchdowns 👏 pic.twitter.com/Z3JLONNkSH

There have only been four other quarterbacks in NFL history to throw 500 touchdown passes in their career.
Provided Rodgers can do this during the 2023 season, he will join Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre as the fifth to achieve this total.
If Rodgers throws 34 touchdowns this season, he’ll not only eclipse 500 but pass Favre in career passing touchdowns as well.
Ultimately, the Jets are just looking for success as a team, and personal achievements are just icing on the cake.
The Jets haven’t made the playoffs in 12 seasons, the longest active streak in the NFL.
Rodgers has a few elite offensive options at his disposal this year, including Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Breece Hall.
The organization has continued to build an offense around Rodgers, desperately looking for their long-eluded success.
However, the AFC is loaded with young, talented rosters, making their path that much more difficult.
This includes the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, which are both in the AFC East with the Jets.
Just how far can Rodgers take this team in 2023?
