Aaron Judge returned from a hip injury, and the New York Yankees started to produce some runs and win more games.
It’s not a coincidence: Judge is the team’s best player and his presence makes everyone around him better.
On Monday, against the Toronto Blue Jays, he hit two home runs to reach 10 on the season, in just 33 games.
It was his 30th multi-homer game in his MLB tenure.
“This is Aaron Judge’s 30th career multi-HR game, breaking a tie with Alex Rodriguez for the 5th most in Yankees history. The only Yankees with more: • Babe Ruth (68) • Mickey Mantle (46) • Lou Gehrig (43) • Joe DiMaggio (35),” ESPN Stats & Info tweeted.

Judge signed a nine-year deal before the start of the season, so he has ample time to keep moving up on the historical Yankees list.
Next up for him is ‘Joltin’ Joe DiMaggio, who retired with 35 multi-homer games.
Lou Gehrig (43) and Mickey Mantle (46) will probably take him a few years, while Babe Ruth’s 68 games with at least two long-balls looks like an impossible task.
Judge is already up to 230 career homers, and he has a legit shot at becoming the latest Yankee with at least 500.
The road towards such an iconic milestone is long, though.
He will need to stay healthy and remain effective for the better part of the next decade.
The raw power is there, though, as Judge almost effortlessly sends balls to the moon each season.
