The New York Yankees and slugging outfielder Aaron Judge had a goal to reach an agreement on a contract extension by Opening Day.
They did not reach that agreement in time.
Judge also was one of a few players who had yet to reach a deal with his team to avoid arbitration.
As a result, Judge has an arbitration hearing coming up.
The hearing will take place this week.
Judge sounded off on the upcoming hearing and shared his thoughts, expressing his love and respect for the Yankees organization, but also making it clear that this aspect of the game of baseball is one he is not a fan of, as shown in the tweet below.
Aaron Judge on tomorrow's arbitration hearing: "It’s all business. For me, it’s plain and simple: I love this team, I love this organization and everything, but this is a business side of it that I don’t like at times."

Judge Shares His Thoughts
Judge is doing a good job making sure he remains professional amidst this whole process.
These processes can be long and arduous for players and teams alike and there’s nothing fun about it.
But Judge has maintained his class and still has a ton of respect and love for the Yankees organization.
You can’t blame him for not being a fan of this whole process.
It’s not an easy one and it can be very frustrating for the players involved.
Judge is clearly frustrated with the way things are going, but one can only hope that his performance this year will warrant him getting a significant raise in arbitration.
He is one of the best and most exciting players in all of baseball and he is looking like the clear frontrunner for the AL MVP Award.
It’s understandable why he’s frustrated with how things have gone.
But he does deserve a ton of credit for blocking out the distractions and putting up solid numbers.
