It’s been a rough few weeks for Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets after suffering a devastating family loss.
Gordon’s older brother, Drew, recently passed away in a car crash.
As a way to remember his brother, Gordon got a tattoo of his initials along with a screaming primate on his chest.
The tattoo was shared by Gordon on social media, via Bleacher Report.

Drew may not have been as well-known as his younger brother but he also had an NBA career, albeit a short one.
He played briefly with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014–15 but found more success playing internationally, participating in leagues in Russia, France, and Japan.
The Gordon brothers were incredibly close and Drew would occasionally pop up at the Nuggets’ practice gym, shooting with his brother and other players.
The loss of Drew is going to hurt Aaron for a very long and this tattoo is a way to remember him and start to move on as well.
Aaron is coming off of one of his best seasons ever, averaging 13.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
He had a wonderful season and was particularly terrific during the postseason when he put up 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
Now that he has established himself as one of the most important players on the Nuggets roster, Gordon is sure to stay in Denver for a long time.
The season is over for Gordon and the Nuggets so he can spend some time recuperating from the long year and the passing of his brother.
In just a few months, Gordon will be playing hard with his team again in hopes of landing another championship.
