The New York Jets are the only team in the NFL that has yet to win a game this season.
Some of their losses haven’t been close, and there are rumblings about Justin Fields’ future as a starting quarterback.
However, as much sense as it would make for them to part with some of their veterans at the trade deadline, head coach Aaron Glenn doesn’t want to hear anything about that.
With Breece Hall the subject of persistent speculation, Glenn recently shut down the idea that the running back is on the market.
“They’re rumors. I still feel the same way,” Glenn said of not wanting to trade Hall.

Hall is eligible to sign a contract extension, but the Jets haven’t seemed to be inclined to give him one.
They went into the season with Hall as the leader of a three-back committee that includes Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.
As expected, Hall has been their primary ball carrier, in part because Allen is out with an injury.
Despite the Jets’ offensive shortcomings, Hall is averaging almost 5.0 per carry, and he’s been a pivotal part of whatever they’ve been able to do.
Then again, as much as Glenn may want to have him for the long run, that might not be in the organization’s best interests.
It’s extremely unlikely that they can make the playoffs this season, and Hall is about to become a free agent.
So, multiple teams will be reaching out before the Nov. 4 deadline, and with the way the Jets’ season is playing out, they might not have a choice but to trade him.
