Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald is reaping the rewards of his success.
After an impressive reign of dominance that garnered him seven First-Team All-Pro selections, he finally won a Super Bowl with the team that drafted him in 2014.
However, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year contemplated retirement after getting the accolade that matters most.
But the Rams sweetened the pot by giving Donald additional money.
The franchise did not extend his contract because he is still signed with the team until 2024.
However, they added guaranteed money to his contract, enticing him to return.
The Rams’ plan worked and Donald will earn up to $95 million, including $65 million in guaranteed money.
Now that he will run it back with the Rams, Donald made a commitment to their loyal fans.

While taking a video inside SoFi Stadium, Donald said, “What’s up, it’s Aaron Donald. I’m locked back in to go get us another ring. Why not? At SoFi Stadium, getting chills thinking about it. Let’s go to work!”
Having him back makes the Rams one of the favorites to win Super Bowl LVII.
Donald will continue to disrupt offensive lines in hopes of getting to the quarterback.
Luckily, he’s not alone in this fight because the Rams are loaded on both sides.
A Defensive Unit For The Ages
Donald isn’t afraid of the big moment, as proven by his game-saving stop during Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.
His effort helped preserved the Rams’ lead, which Cincinnati threatened to overcome.
This season, Los Angeles will get a huge boost in All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner.
The Rams’ defense will be tougher to deal with now that they have Donald, Wagner, and Jalen Ramsey.
Add their explosive offense to the mix and the Rams should find it easy clinching another postseason berth, barring any injury.
