Many people say that in the NFL, defense wins championships.
That was the case with the Los Angeles Rams back in 2021-22 when they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.
They won that game because they held the Bengals to only 20 points.
One player who has been dominant for his entire career is Aaron Donald.
The perennial All-Pro is consistently one of the best defensive players in the NFL.
Even at the age of 32, Donald has shown no signs of slowing down.
Donald has played nine NFL seasons and made the Pro Bowl in all of them.
Also, he has made first-team All-Pro seven times.
Despite being bitten by the injury bug last year, Donald was still elite at getting after the quarterback.
According to Next Gen Stats, Donald had the NFL’s quickest pass-rush get-off time.
His get-off of 0.86 seconds was the fastest for the fourth consecutive season.
Aaron Donald averaged the quickest pass rush get-off (0.86 sec) of any defensive tackle in 2022 for the fourth consecutive season.
His explosion has allowed him to generate 258 pressures since 2019, 75 more than the next closest DT.#RamsHouse pic.twitter.com/JhckCxX9Gq

There may never be another player like Donald in the NFL.
He is a defensive tackle that can stop the run and rush the passer, unlike anyone we have ever seen.
Donald has been a one-man wrecking crew throughout his career.
He will be headed to Canton five years after he decides to hang up his cleats.
For the Rams to have a bounce-back year in 2023 they need to stay healthy.
Losing Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Donald last year to injury derailed their season.
While many people are overlooking them as serious contenders, this could be a team we see back in the playoffs next year.
