There aren’t many things for the Houston Rockets to be excited about right now.
The team is lacking in a number of ways and their chances of making the postseason are gone.
But one player is performing as if they are in the middle of an intense playoff run.
Alperen Şengün has been having a wonderful season, even as his team suffers.
On Twitter, NBA analyst Bradeaux reminded fans that Şengün had his 20th double-double of the season on Sunday night.

With his 15 points and 14 rebounds, Şengün added yet another big night to his record.
This season has been full of them for the Turkish center, who is averaging 14.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
His first double-double of the year was right out of the gate when he scored 23 points and 12 rebounds in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on October 21.
Since then he has scored double-doubles against the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, and many others.
As impressive as that track record is, the Rockets are still losing a lot.
Their 15-49 record is tied with the Detroit Pistons for the worst in the league.
Therefore, the team is out of the running for the playoffs already, even though Şengün has been great all season.
The young player has stepped up his game and is doing better than he was in his rookie year.
This has some wondering if the Rockets will secure him for the long term or trade him away now that his value is so high.
The Rockets will have a lot to think about with their long offseason and the future of Şengün is just one of the many things they will contemplate.
