These days, when you think of the New York Yankees, the first player that comes to mind is reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge.
But Judge isn’t the only important piece on the Yankees roster, nor is he the only player that makes the team gel.
In fact, the Yankees are currently receiving some key contributions from a potentially unsung hero.
Super utilityman Isiah Kiner-Falefa is on a roll as of late.
On Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners, Kiner-Falefa went 4-for-5 with four singles and a groundout.
In doing so, he increased his batting average to .326 over his last 15 games.

Kiner-Falefa has been hitting quite well for the Yankees as of late.
The super utilityman’s average this season sits at just .243, but he has turned things around over the past several games.
The 28-year-old also has hit three home runs, driven in 14 runs, and scored 14.
Kiner-Falefa had four RBI in Tuesday’s blowout win over the Mariners.
The former Gold Glover also is reaching base at a .400 clip and slugging .640 over his last seven games.
Needless to say, Kiner-Falefa has provided the Yankees with a much-needed spark as they look to gain ground in the American League East, a division which is currently led by the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Yankees acquired the 28-year-old last season in a trade with the Minnesota Twins, the same deal that sent Gio Urshela back to Minnesota and Josh Donaldson to New York.
Kiner-Falefa led the Yankees to their 34th win of the 2023 season on Tuesday and helped make a winner out of Nestor Cortes.
