An impressive play was made during a recent game between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees.
With Detroit leading 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning, left-hander Tyler Alexander delivered a pitch to Yankees outfielder Billy McKinney, who lined it straight back to the mound.
Luckily, Alexander was prepared and made a remarkable play, showing off some superhuman reflexes in the process, catching the line-drive for the final out.
On Twitter, MLB posted a video of the highlight, which shows Alexander barely having enough time to react and snare the ball, ending the inning and helping Detroit preserve their lead.

The Yankees ultimately came back to win the game by a final of 8-5, scoring six unanswered runs to take the lead.
Still, these were some impressive reflexes shown off by Alexander.
In the caption of the tweet, MLB called them “Cat-like reflexes,” which fits for a moment featuring the Tigers.
The left-hander caught the ball behind his back, making a back-handed grab to secure the out.
Often times, pitchers are injured on come-backers.
Sometimes, a ball may hit the pitcher in the arm or leg and cause a significant injury.
Sadly, we far too often see come-backers hit pitchers in the head, which makes for some scary moments, so it’s always impressive when a pitcher is able to hold off the line drive and make a grab like Alexander did.
After the grab was made, Alexander appeared to be completely unscathed and unfazed by the event and walked straight back to the Tigers dugout.
