All eyes in Houston will be on the Houston Texans’ two first-round picks, C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr., next season, and rightfully so.
However, another rookie might be stealing most of the headlines, as Dov Kleiman reports that first-year wideout Tank Dell has left an impressive first impression among his peers and colleagues.

Notably, Stroud reportedly encouraged the team to draft Dell, and they’ve developed an instant rapport on the field.
Dell isn’t exactly physically impressive and he’s on the shorter side of the WR spectrum, but he makes up for it with elite route-running.
The first-year wideout has turned plenty of heads every day of OTAs, with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik reportedly getting him more and more involved.
He’s taken mostly second-team reps during OTA practices, but he’s expected to take a leap forward and start working out with the starters on a full-time basis.
Dell rose to the scene with his solid performance during the Senior Bowl in Alabama, and he’s coming off an impressive season at the University of Houston with 109 receptions for 1,398 yards, showing great ability to create separation and pile up yards after the catch as well.
The 24-year-old slipped in most drafts because of his height — or lack thereof — standing at just 5-feet-8, 165 pounds.
Even so, he’s a speedster with a reliable pair of hands, and he perfectly fits their current timeline with their new QB ready to take the league by storm right out of the gate, so expectations for this offense are quite high right now.
