Tuesday night was an interesting one at Yankee Stadium.
During the game between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles, a member of the animal kingdom made an appearance and ran across the top of the outfield wall.
The animal in question was a squirrel.
After the squirrel lost its footing and fell, it landed gracefully on the outfield dirt while fans looked in.
Fans were certainly surprised to see the squirrel make an appearance, especially in the middle of a game.
On Twitter, MLB posted a video of the squirrel’s voyage across the outfield wall and onto the outfield dirt.

This is far from the first time a member of the animal kingdom his infiltrated the baseball world.
It can all be traced back to a Chicago Cubs fan bringing his goat to Wrigley Field in 1945.
There was also the black cat incident in 1969.
In terms of squirrels, the first time in recent memory that one found its way onto the field was in Game 4 of the 2011 NLDS between the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals.
In St. Louis, that squirrel became known as the “Rally Squirrel.”
Perhaps now, the Yankees have their own rally squirrel.
It certainly didn’t hurt them, as they pulled off a 6-5 comeback win over the Orioles and won in walk-off fashion against their division rivals to improve to 30-20 on the season.
Aaron Judge tied the game in the ninth, setting up Anthony Volpe’s walk-off hit in the bottom of the 10th.
Perhaps the squirrel gave the Yankees an edge against the Orioles.
