This coming weekend, Major League Baseball will enjoy the arrival of a special new event.
The inaugural Desert Invitational Series will take place from February 17-19.
Six NCAA schools will be involved in this event.

The schools involved will be Tennessee, Michigan, Arizona, Michigan State, Fresno State, and UC San Diego.
This series will take place throughout the Greater Phoenix area, with games being played at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Sloan Park, and Grand Canyon University.

This is an exciting opportunity for the game of baseball to grow.
This event was formerly known as “MLB4” due to there always being four teams present.
But with its expansion to six teams, the event has taken on a new name.
It also serves as the perfect starting point for the college baseball season, which typically begins in February.
This event has always been held at the very beginning of each college baseball season.
There will be plenty of young stars to watch as this event unfolds and baseball finally begins.
It will certainly be fun to see these young stars take the field in this thrilling event as a means to officially kick off yet another baseball season.
