Yesterday, A.J. Green announced his retirement from the NFL.
Green will go down as one of the best wide receivers in Cincinnati Bengals history.
Not only was Green impressive in the major statistical categories, but he was also well-loved off of the field by his teammates and fans as well.

Green is one of four receivers to have 10,000 receiving yards and 70 receiving touchdowns since 2010.
Simply put, Green made an impact on more than just the Bengals organization, but on the NFL as a whole.
Green ends his career as 44th in all-time receiving yards and 49th in receiving touchdowns.
Although he spent most of his career as a member of the Bengals, Green ended his career as an Arizona Cardinal, where he was able to play with another young quarterback, Kyler Murray.
When looking at the list of players with 10,000 receiving yards and 70 total receiving touchdowns since 2010, Green joins Antonio Brown as the only other inactive player on the list.
Mike Evans and DeAndre Hopkins are still making their impact known, and will both play for a few more seasons.
Thankfully for NFL fans, there have been many receivers throughout the years that have been fan favorites.
Right now, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are the new-age of receivers for the Bengals, replacing the old guard of Chad Johnson and Green.
Will they be able to have the sustained success that Green found?
That certainly remains to be seen, especially considering that they have five years of combined NFL experience.
